Baltal

                    Baltal is more famously a base camp for the Amarnath Yatra. However, the little valley is endowed with enchanting sites and is amongst Kashmir's most beautiful tourist places. Waterfalls, glaciers, and mountain peaks dot the landscape here, making it an ideal visit for photographers and all those seeking a quiet retreat amid nature.The Sindh River flows merrily through Baltan, a fantastic place for trout fishing or white river rafting. Trekking is a popular activity here as well. Due to its height, however, Baltan is open to tourists only for six months between April and September.
