Annamalai Temple

                     Located 20 km from the main city, Annamalai Temple is built in reverence of Lord Murugan. Annamalai Temple is set amidst lush green lawns, silver oak trees, and tea estates, making it a serene site to visit.The temple is one of the least popular tourist places in Ooty; thus, only a few people know about it. An aged man looks after it. It also has an ashram for people with marginalized status. A ritual of ‘Anna-Dana’ takes place in the temple during ‘Nakshatra’ and ‘Karthigai’ days of every month, when food is distributed among poor people. 

Timings: Every morning hours – 5 AM to 12 PM,  Evening hours –4 PM to 9 PM
