Property Policy

• Staying with a family: Please remember that you are living with a family, which means that there are certain social obligations involved and we expect you to maintain decorum. • Moving in: As you move into your homestay, join your hosts in checking your room, making sure that everything is in proper condition. This way, you can avoid problems or disagreements regarding anything missing or broken later on. • Energy: Guests are advised to switch off all lights, kitchen electrical appliances and geysers when not in use and while leaving the room. • Kitchen: Feel free to use the kitchen but clean all the utensils and cutleries after use. Wipe up food spills immediately. Keep the floor dry as that no one slips and falls. • Hygiene: Please do not leave the bathroom (bathtub/toilet!) in a messy condition and the same goes for your room. Put all your trash to the trash can. Cleanliness of the homestay is to be observed at all times. Any damages caused by the guest will be charged. Housekeeping service will be provided only on request. • Communication regarding your presence and absence: On a regular basis, when you leave the home, it is vital for the hosts to know when to expect your return. Thus, please notify the family if you will be late or if you are planning to spend the evening elsewhere. But, you are requested to reach homestay by 10pm. • Inviting friends/relatives: Inviting friends/relatives over for a visit is always possible, of course, as long as the matter is properly communicated and cleared with your hosts. In case anyone stays with you overnight, please note that this would be subject to prior approval by hosts and that you are expected to pay INR 1500/- per person. • Smoking: Green Tara Homestay is a smoke-free property. So, you are expected to behave. • Living in peace: In order to ensure the peace & calamity of the homestay, guests are discouraged from making too much noise in the homestay premises before 8 a.m. & after 10 p.m. You have chosen to live in a family that takes some motivation, so we congratulate you!
