Doodhpathri Gurez Valley

It lies in the Budgam district of Kashmir, where Doodhpathri is a meadow closely attached to local myth. According to the legend, this Kashmiri saint Sheikh ul Aalam Sheikh Noor din Noorani arrived here searching for water but found milk instead. That is why it is named Doodhpathri.Doodhpatri is now one of the quietest places in Kashmir, and picnickers and trekkers often visit this meadow. It is not only home to some of the most scenic picnic spots in a hill station, but several moderate-difficulty trekking trails pass through it.
