Gulmarg gondola

                     Gulmarg Gondola is the second largest and highest cable car in the world. The prime attraction of Gulmarg is known for being divided into two phases; it ferries almost 600 people per hour to and from Apharwat Mountain, where most winter sports happen in Gulmarg.The Gulmarg Gondola carries visitors from Gulmarg Resort to Kongdoori Station, its mid-station. Starting from an elevation of 2990 m, the vertical rise is 400 m. The gondola transports 1500 passengers hourly to 3100 m, which is followed by numerous easy skiing runs. 

Gulmarg Gondola links Kongdoori Mountain with Apharwat Peak. It climbs 1,330 meters vertically to an elevation of around 4,000m. The cableway takes 600 passengers per hour. From here, you would further trek a 30-minute journey to the summit. From the summit, LOC or the Line of Control can be seen.

 The Gulmarg Gondola provides a scenic view of Nanda Devi, LOC, and the Pir Panjal range. In addition to experiencing the beauty of the Himalayan ranges, tourists can indulge in horse riding and snow skiing.
