Kishtawar national park
Kishtwar national park is on a plateau above the Chenab River and below the Nagin sheer glacier. The area has saffron growth in a limited time, and its harvesting is accompanied by ceremonies and festivals, typically during summer. The area of 400sq.km consists of 15 species of mammals, including the Musk Deer and the black and brown bear of the Himalayas. Even if Kishtwar is not an isolated high-altitude wildlife sanctuary, it is made special because of its large variety of flora and fauna.
