                    The Poonch Fort, located in the history-rich city of Poonch, features a sequence of grand structures reflecting a blend of architectural styles of the several reigns that these lands have had the fortune of experiencing. Spread across the top of a small hill, this imposing complex covers 7,500 sqm.The structures are arranged within four irregular courtyards. Initially, the Poonch fort's structure was erected in the 18th century during the rule of Dogra kings. The larger buildings exhibit an unmistakable influence of Mughal architecture. Since the central edifice was established during the regime of the Sikhs, three rules can combine the structures of the building to showcase styles of classic structure. The fort's unique architecture fascinated the late 19th-century eyes of Raja Moti Singh, who rehabilitated the building consistently. This time, with the prescription of a European architect, he ensured preservation. As can be seen, one can find a small mosque, a temple, and a Gurudwara on the premises. The palatial structure is a fantastic display of a mix of the features of the histories of Indian rulers. Although an earthquake hit it in 2005, the state of Jammu and Kashmir has functioned hard to protect the interim of this historical land, making it a very precious attraction in the region.
