Zero Bridge
Crossing the River Jhelum in what looks like a north-south direction, this stunning Zero Bridge connects Sonwar at the northern end to Rajbagh at the southern end. It was originally built in the 1950s by the then Prime Minister, Bakshi Ghulam Mohammad. Though this zero bridge was used earlier for crossing the Jhelum River, vehicular motion became banned on the Zero Bridge in the 1980s to protect the weakening wood structure. It is a large appeal to go simultaneously for your Kashmir journey, as its fascinating records and look make it a top-notch sight for vacationers. Zero Bridge became named "Zorr" Bridge first as it is there due to the purpose that the structure was built with the aid of a deaf architect, and in Kashmiri, the "Zorr" approach "deaf."The bridge exemplifies an incredible design and is counted among Srinagar's oldest and finest tourist destinations. Here, you can peek at the state's glorious cultural heritage. Zero Bridge is marked by numerous food courts and kiosks that provide visitors with authentic Kashmiri delicacies.
