vidhana soudha
Set in the very centre of the
city, painted in white, and occupying an extent of 60 acres, Vidhana Soudha is
one of the unique places to visit in Bangalore, which accommodates the state
Secretariat and the state legislature in a single building. This dome-like
building consists of two halls in which the central wing situated on the ground
floor can house 268 members, and the southern wing can house 88 members. This
beautiful combination of three styles, Indian, British, and Indo
IsIndo-Islamics, would be complete if the lighting-up ceremony on Sundays was
not seen and the inscription on one of the columns, "God's work is God's
own". Remember that it has become one of the sightseeing places in
Bangalore that requires permission or a pass today. This mansion resembles a
grand palace when viewed totally under light after sunset, displaying the
greatness of Vidhana Soudha.
