Glass Bridge Madikeri - Coorg
At a distance of 6 km from Madikeri Bus Stand, Glass Bridge is a skywalk bridge located on Pappy`Coorg's Coffee Island, Udoth Motte, in Coorg. Located on the Madikeri-Bhagamandala Road, it is one of the multiple famed tourist places in Coorg that attract travellers from far and wide throughout the year.
Also known as 'Pappy's Bridge of Coorg,' the Skywalk Glass Bridge in Coorg is the second such attraction in South India. The first one is at Wayanad in Kerala, at 900 Kandi Eco Park. The bridge is approximately 78 feet tall, with a length of about 32 m and a width of 2 m. Its capacity to support around 5 tonnes allows it to accommodate up to 40 to 50 individuals at once.
It is made of tempered glass panels or flooring that offer visitors a thrilling experience of walking above ground level. Situated amidst the lush green hills, the bridge offers a breathtaking sight. Standing and gazing from the bridge not only evokes a sense of fear but also provides an exhilarating experience. The surrounding hills reach out and beckon, their peaks adorned with greenery.
There are two parking areas. He is one close to the skywalk and charges Rs. 50 for a four-wheeler, while the other is 1 km away and charges Rs. 150. Other areas provide free pick-up and drop-off at the Skywalk Glass Bridge.
