Gudavi Bird sanctuary

                    Gudavi Bird Sanctuary is unique and located amidst dense forests 15 km off the Banavasi Road in Gudavi. Sorabtaluk of Shimogadistrict.Gudavi Bird sanctuary is surrounded by agricultural fields on the west and north and tropical wet deciduous forests on the east and south. The Sanctuary is spread over an area of 0.73 sq km and offers numerous immaculate varieties of birds to explore and view.Diverse types of birds migrate to Gudavi for breeding purposes during the monsoon season, which is between the middle of June and December. A feature lake and trees provide shelter for these birds.Gudavi Bird sanctuary is one of the five popular bird parks of Karnataka. As indicated by the 1993 overview, 191 assortments of winged animals are found at Gudavi Bird Sanctuary. Some prominent feathered creatures found at Gudavi include White Pebis, Stone Bill, Egret, Cormorant, Snake fowl, Heron, and so forth.
