Shree Shvetha Varaha Swamy Temple
Revered as Varahaswamy temple,
Shree Shvetha Varaha Swamy Temple is one of the most religious places and a
tourist place in Mysore, and it is an excellent specimen of Hoysala
architecture. The whole compound of the temple is constructed so that the
intricately carved entrance and the interesting pillars around the altar of the
temple's Goddess are simply attractive and hard to ignore. Besides, there are
several ornament paintings on the walls of the Navaranga hall, mainly focused
on the stories of Krishna, the Ramayana and the Bhagavata, respectively. The
bases have many inscriptions, including that of the founder, Chikka Devaraja
Wodeyar.
