Krishnapuram Palace
It is one of the most populous museums in Alleppey. Inaugurated by the king of Travancore, Anizham Thirunal Marthanda Varma, in the18th century, Krishnapuram Palace is quite famous for its olden architecture and beautiful murals. Presently managed by the Kerala Archaeological Department, this venue also boasts the largest mural painting in Kerala—the 'Gajendra Moksha.' The vast mural painting covers an area of about 53 km and is one of the most frequented places to visit in Alleppey.
