Gowreeswara Temple Cherai In Kochi
Gowreeswara Temple Cherai Constructed in 1912, this well-frequented shrine in Kochi celebrates the famed Lord Murugan, also known as the South Pazhani. An important point to note is that it is the only Chaturmukha Kovil located in Asia, meaning it has four entrance doors. Sree Narayana Guru installed the idol.The figure of Lord Subramanyah faces to the east, while to the south is Lord Ganesh's figure; to the west is Lord Shiva's figure; and to the north is the figure of Goddess Parvati. Four daily pujas are performed to the deities: Usha Pooja, Pantheeradi Pooja, Uchcha Pooja, and Azatha Pooja, where panchamrutam and Pushpanjali are offered.
