Jew Town

Jew Town is one of the oldest parts of the region. It was here that the Jews first settled in India in around 700 BC, and we're here till they moved to Israel; This part is famous for its architecturally solid Synagogue that continues to stand today. It is a series of narrow alleys between Mattancherry Palace and Paradesi Synagogue. There is an antique market with shops selling curios.

You won't go empty-handed once you've entered Jew Town. Jew Town is popular among shopaholics, foodies, and antique lovers. The antique shops here are so eye-catching that you won't be able to stop yourself from entering at least one of the stores! The collection of souvenirs varies from store to store and ranges from colorful jewelry, carved spice boxes, vintage furniture, vibrant colored masks, and lamps, among many other unusual yet amazing things. Crocheted and embroidered clothes left by the Jew families can be found in the sale. Handmade aromatic soaps and perfumes are some of the other things you should look out for! Apart from this, many shops are crowded with classified spices for sale. Be it for cooking or home remedies for ailments, and Jew Town has it all for you!
