Paravur Lake
This little Paravur lake in Paravur town collides with the backwaters of Kerala in the Kollam district. This small Paravurlake attracts a flurry of travelers, making the Keralan backwaters perfect and serene. The area of interest around Paravur Lake also houses the Priyadarshini Boat Club. This boat club offers extensive boating within a region that meets the Arabian Sea, a river, and the Kappil backwater. Tourists can expect shopping on the road connecting Paravur-Edava-Varkala, besides Paravur Lake. Paravur Lake is also known as one of the most famous Paravur Lakes. It is located about 4 km from Paravur town. Paravur - Edava - Varkala Street goes over the bank of Paravur Lake.
This Paravur lake becomes prettier by adding some mangroves on either side of it. Besides, one can visit further hills on the north and east sides of this place or enjoy this place with a panoramic view of the entire lake. This is one of the major lakes, and it is relevant not only as many lakes within Kerala but also for being part of the Trivandrum-Shornaur Canal System, connecting to Edava and Ashdamudi Kayal.
