Thiruvananthapuram Zoo
The Thiruvananthapuram Zoo is another oldest terrarium in the country which was established as annexed to the Napier museum in the year 1857 by the erstwhile ruler of Travancore. The latter of which was opened solely for the entertainment of the masses and with the passing years, the zoo transforms into a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centerThe zoological garden comprises of 35 ranges of mammals, 28 ranges of birds and 17 varieties of reptiles. The zoological garden also includes the gardens with more than 200 species of trees, thousands of other beautiful plants, many orchids, and a snake farm.
How to get there: The zoo is accessible by any local transport as it is located along the city.
Timings: Operational on every day starting from 9 AM up to 5:15 PM.
