Pookode lake

                    Wayanad is one of the prominent hill stations in Kerala and is known for its exclusive tourist attractions, one of which is Pookode Lake. Pookode freshwater lake lies in the scenic region of south India, which is cosmopolitan. Pookode lake is surrounded by thick evergreen forestry and several mountain slopes. The lake is connected to a small stream called Panamaram, which forms the Kabani River. The surface of Pookode Lake is approximately 8.5 hectares and has a maximum depth of about 6.5 meters. Cartographic analysts determined that the lake takes the form of a map of India.The Pookode lake is located in a hilly area and is always full of fresh water. It is also a ‘home’ for freshwater fish and various blue lotus. Some Wayanad tour packages include visiting this site, while others require you to visit alone.
