Kumbakkarai Falls

                    Streaming along the Kodai-Vellagavi-Periyakulam footpath in the Theni district, Kumbakkarai Falls is one of the not-to-miss tourist places in Kodaikanal. The water ebbs in two stages. First, the water collects in the rocks, each named after a wild animal, from where it enters its second stage. This stage is a 5 KM flow in the Pambar River, which takes it to its final destination and converts it into a waterfall.This long journey of the water has healthy and medicinal power, which can cure skin and other minor ailments. You can take a shower and bath in these waters, but a little care is required as the rocks can be slippery and heavy water pouring over your head.
