Maravakandy Dam

                    There is no better place for wildlife photography than Masinagudi, not that this Maravakandy Dam has any other potential. Built in 1951, the dam is surrounded by greenery and awash in beauty in the early hours.The major source of water supply for Moyar Hydroelectric is Maravakandy Powerhouse, which is just one among the many sites that tourists love to visit in Masinagudi. There is an animal watching tower where you can see breathtaking views and observe wonderful bird and animal species. And so far as visiting a dam is concerned, the only thing that brings all the animals in the area to come here is because there is water here, and if you visit here early in the morning, the chances of coming immediately in front of tiger and elephants are very much high. Its natural beauty makes it even more appealing for the visitors.
