Lakshmana Tirtham

                    Lakshmana Tirtham, also spelled as Lakshmana Teertham, is dedicated to Lakshmana, the brother of god Rama. Although this is a small temple in the holy and temple-rich city of Rameswaram, the architecture of Lakshmana Tirtham appears to be fascinating. Lakshmana Teertham is located at a small distance from the famous Ramanathswamy Temple. The temple is situated by a small pond where, it is said, people can wash away their sins. Inside the temple, one can find a beautiful marble sculpture of Lakshmana along with well-carved statues of Lord Rama and Sita.
