Edakkal cave
Historical Edakkal caves are famous for their paintings (cave art), believed to be as old as 6000 BC. To access the hollows, a trek up the Ambukutty Mala is required. It This is one of the famous places to see in Wayanad. The second vermin chamber is 18ft by 12ft and 10ft in height, while the upper computed chamber is 96ft in length and 22ft in breadth and 18ft in height. Many images of different kinds of animals and artificial objects also appear on the caves' surfaces.
